Your relationship is worth it. Husband to wife, w Your relationship is worth it.

Husband to wife, wife to husband.
Mother to daughter, daughter to mother.
Father to son, son to father.
(And all the other combos 😊 )

In this Relationship Series we're going after some things really near to the human heart - healthy connection in our relationships.

Everything in life flows from intimacy....and boy does it sometimes cause bigger than anticipated responses inside us.

If this Sunday opened some difficult thoughts/feelings/conversations - God's grace is ready for you.

We're intentionally praying for grace in this series as we head toward deeper waters with the Holy Spirit.

Here's some encouragement -

If things are being stirred up - the Lord may be trying to gently refine and purify your soul - your mind, will, and emotions. Often that happens by the stirring of thoughts, feelings, and choices.

If you're feeling it, remember - if the Lord is moving in your heart, it reaffirms that He loves you. He cares for the ones he loves - the ones who let Him love them to wholeness.

He brings up our pain to bring healing, not to shove a finger in an open wound. He's a highly skilled heart doctor.

If life feels loud around you, be encouraged by @brevived who said -

"When the enemy gets louder and more obvious - it's not his best card, it's his last card."

If things are being stirred, don't be afraid - do not fear. The Lord is with you.

Stay with Him. Ask Him to help you keep your heart open.

Redemption is possible - if we're willing to be empowered by His grace and walk humbly with our God & our people.

We love you Freedom Life.

THANK YOU.

Here's three thoughts about serving in our church family -

1. Serving isn't meant to be obligatory.

You don't owe it to our church family to serve just because you're here. We're thankful if you serve - thank you!

We're building a culture where serving is more beneficial to an individual than it is costly. If you're over-serving - we're grateful for your generosity, but make sure to rebalance your life so serving is part of your belonging in our church, not the only reason you're here.

If serving is obligatory in our church, we're developing human "doings" not "human beings." We love you, don't be a Martha. 😆

2. You were made to serve where your heart is alive.

There are a bunch of places you can serve in our church - young adults, kids, students, media, leading a small group, cafe, greeters, security, worship, etc. There's a wide variety of roles open that make the Sunday experience great.

Serve where you have passion that intersects with talent - this is THE BEST place for you to serve.

3. Serving is a great way to make new friends.

We have many stories of people who started serving at FLC and built deeper friendships. If you're looking to get connected, you can swing by the Info Desk to learn about serving opportunities.

Thanks FLC. We're thankful for our volunteers EVERY WEEK.
"We're done with nice prayers." The days of "We're done with nice prayers."

The days of nice prayers are done. Our world needs faith-filled prayers.

Last week, a young momma sent a group text that we wanted to share with our whole church family! Join your faith with this word -

"I can't shake this feeling that there's an open Heaven right now and if we ask Him for something, He'll be faithful to give it. Peace, favor, words of knowledge, healing, prophecy, finances, etc. I just have this sense there's a special grace and anointing especially for right now and if we ask Him for it, He will pour it out!"

________________

What would the Lord love for you to ask of Him in this season? How does He want to come through for you?

Keep in mind that "nice" prayers are often safe and more self centered than we'd like to admit. 🙊

Let's pray prayers that require His faithfulness and our transformation - prayer that partners with Heaven requires something of us.

We believe in the Lord blessing us so much that it changes us - like a river with so much water that its banks must change to accommodate the new flow.

It's time to ask Him to make earth like Heaven AND to help us live from Heaven towards earth.

If you have a story of God showing up in your life, OR you're believing for Him to move - we'd love to hear from you. DM us or comment below.

We love you Freedom family.
Dropping in to celebrate the Marriage Event we hel Dropping in to celebrate the Marriage Event we held this past weekend with the Mawstons.

Thankful that over 40 couples joined us to connect, re-connect, and grow together this past Saturday.

We talked about 4 Stages of Marriage and helped get a reading on the health of our marriages - we can grow what we can measure. We're thankful for the moments we had!

From newlyweds to a couple married for nearly 50 years, we allowed the Lord to look at our hearts as we grow together.

We learned to cast vision for our marriage through the "marriage we see" exercise in Session 1. Couples shared that they're going to work on their own vision for marriage this week with their spouse!

We learned about the power of forgiveness, how to make space for Intimacy, and much more.

You want to watch the sessions for free?

More videos/photos to come from our beautiful weekend together.

Big thanks to @stevemawston & @rachelmawston for taking the time to invest in our church family and community!
FREEEEDOMMMMM. That quote was it - we must engage FREEEEDOMMMMM. That quote was it - we must engage with the Giver of freedom if we want to walk in it. Let's do it Freedom Life community & family.

We all walk through difficult seasons or situations in life where we benefit from another’s support.

An amazing team of volunteers gathered in 2021 to begin our Celebrate Recovery group that walks with people through what are known as "hurts, habits, and hangups." Dani explains more in this video.

If you're interested to learn more - go to FreedomLifeNY.com/care.

Thank you to everyone who is in CR! Our safe, dedicated team gathers weekly to walk through life with anybody who's looking for some support. We'd love to meet you if you're looking for help.
