REOPENING Plan

The leadership & elders of Freedom Life Church recognize that there is still some risk in large gatherings, and that there will not be a “risk-free” time to reopen in the foreseeable future. With these considerations in mind, we have decided to move forward with meeting together, while working to limit exposure and overall risk to our church family.

Guests who choose to attend in-person service are attending at their own risk. The leadership of FLC will demonstrate and encourage safe attendance but individuals ultimately hold responsibility for their own health and health of others.

The leadership of FLC has considered state and local mandates, CDC guidelines, and the recommendations of other church leaders in our area. We believe that the following plans abide by these guidelines, while allowing an authentic church experience.

With this in mind, here’s what you need to know at this point:

  • Our Sunday morning services will be viewable on YouTube. Please feel free to share!
  • For the time being, our service times will be adjusted to provide additional cleaning time in-between services. Services will be at 9am & 10:30am, and will be 1 hour long.
  • Certain rows in the sanctuary will be restricted to allow proper social distancing.  As services conclude, we will release people by section in order to limit congestion in the doorways.
  • We will remove all pens, offering envelopes, and connect cards from the backs of the seats. If you have questions or concerns, you can visit the Info Desk to speak with someone.
  • We have discontinued the use of bulletins. Please check our website or weekly emails to see what’s happening at FLC!
  • FLC will be offering Kids Ministry from ages preschool – 5th grade.

Safety Precautions:

  • We recommend that attendees follow NY State’s guidelines regarding the wearing of masks whenever social distancing is not possible. We will have masks available for anyone who would like one.
  • All volunteers and staff (including Kids Ministry volunteers) will be required to wear masks while serving.
  • All volunteers and staff will be asked to verify that they have not had any COVID symptoms (or contact with a confirmed COVID case) in the 14 days before they serve.
  • In-between services, a team of volunteers will clean all public door handles, surfaces, and restrooms.
  • Hand sanitizer stations have been placed throughout the building for your use.
  • All exterior and interior doors will be propped open or held by greeters.
  • If you, or anyone in your family, are sick or have been sick recently, please refrain from coming to church.
