We all have a story when it comes to our identity. We’ve all encountered different truths & lies that impact how we see God, ourselves, and others. Despite our best efforts, shame, confusion, and mistrust with ourselves & God around our identity is often the result. Don’t worry, it’s not a new thing – it’s been a cycle in people & culture since Adam & Eve. You’re not alone. Freedom & clarity is possible for you.
What is the Changed Movement?
Changed is a community of friends who once identified as LGBTQ+. Today, they celebrate the love of Jesus and His freedom in their lives. They’ve seen “Changed” is possible!
ELIZABETH WONING
Elizabeth Woning “came out” in her early 20s & attended a Presbyterian Church (USA) seminary openly lesbian. She had an encounter with Jesus that radically shifted her perspective in that season. She says, “The love of God drew me into a revelation that transformed my life.”
Her heart is to see the LGBTQ community fully reconciled to God & to explore compassionate means of connection to those who disagree with traditional Christian beliefs.
KEN WILLIAMS
Ken began a pursuit of his true sexual identity in 1987 when his battle against homosexuality grew into intentions of suicide. After over a decade of failed attempts at freedom, he says he, “encountered God in areas & ways that transformed me.” The following years healed childhood trauma, replaced lies with truth, forged intimacy with God, and established self-love and masculine identity.
Today he’s a public advocate for men & women to have rights, freedoms, & counseling to leave an LGBTQ life behind if they so choose.
Many of the people with an LGBTQ background have experienced hurt or rejection through messages difference than the one Changed promotes – they often promote self-discipline over Jesus’ merciful salvation.
